What is Sectigo ACME Certificate-as-a-Service?
Sectigo ACME CaaS is a commercial SSL/TLS certificate issued by the Sectigo Certificate Authority and managed fully automatically via the ACME protocol — the same one used by Let's Encrypt, but with the benefits of a paid, globally trusted certificate. The key difference from classic certificates is the payment model: instead of buying an individual certificate, you purchase a subscription, under which certificates are issued and renewed without limits for its entire duration. No manual orders, no CSR, no installation: everything happens automatically on your server using certbot or acme.sh.
How is it obtained and renewed?
After purchase, you receive unique ACME credentials (EAB), configured on your server just once. The certificate is issued within seconds, and renewal happens automatically before expiration, with no action required from you. Your website will never be left with an expired certificate.
How is it different from classic SSL certificates?
Standard certificates cover a single domain and require manual reordering and reinstallation at every renewal. With Sectigo ACME CaaS, you choose the number of domains (SAN) covered by a single certificate, including Wildcard (*.your-domain.com) for all subdomains. You pay exactly for what you need — everything issued and renewed fully automatically.
